I am such a homebody! We have a leaving do for someone who left rather abruptly two weeks ago this evening, and just the thought of not being home until 8ish is making me not wanna go despite at least the dinner being on the company's tab, and the fact that this is the first social do apart from the lame day-at-the-zoo team building exercise in May.
I think this attitude is mostly due to the fact that I've tried to 'run through' the cold I've been getting this week, with the only results that I now feel broken and all my bones ache. I've been almost injury free for the 6 months since I started running again but now I've got lots of little things... I should probably go do that thing where someone checks my pronation type.
I have, however, a somewhat irrational fear of thread mills - I've seen to many comedies where someone tries to start a healthy life on this forementioned device and ends up flat on his/her ass.
Apart from that, mostly good news - we have finally booked our trip for Mallorca! Now my sister is also joining us the whole week, and one of her friends for about four days, which should lift som pressure after a lot of intense family-time (however, we will share one shower on 5 people in an apartment without an AC, so again, it might not). I am however throughly excited since it's felt like October for about a month now. Puerto Pollensa, near Alcudia, t-minus 27 days!!
I did write this blog post offline that I was gonna post last weekend when we had no water but looking at how whiny this blog has been lately I'm just gonna tell ya: for 72h we had no water whatsoever.
For toilet, drinking, washing, we had to borrow buckets from our neighbours and on Sunday we took a family trip to see grandma so we could all shower (it was actually a surprisingly nice day-trip - also went to IKEA to test which mattress I'm gonna buy for my flat).
But it got fixed on the Monday when I was at work and was also a relatively cheap problem to fix (good for you, dad!).
To leave on a high - Thursday is cake day at work and today we had chocolate-banana cake with chocolate spread and flaked, toasted hazelnuts on top. Yum.
