A woman obsessed

Only 30 pages left!! I've been caught up in the hysteria that is Twilight, completely by accident. My dad was in Germany just before Christmas, and as I wanted to get some novels in German I quickly checked on amazon.de what was on the bestseller list that he could just go into any store and buy quickly. Thus, Bella and Edward!!

I'm not sure what the target group is, but it's probably teenagers. If it wasn't about vampires, they'd probably classify it as chic lit. I've only taken a few courses analysing literature, but talk about wish fulfilment. Formerly unpopular girl moves to new town, gets asked out by too many guys to the prom (to which she doesn't want to go, because she can't dance) and then the book is 90% filled with her and Edward and the other 10% some actual action and plot. I was very excited yesterday to find out there is a movie, and that it's running right now!! It's the last week even, so thank heavens my friend R enlightened me. Given that it's basically a love story it would have worked as DVD as well - but Edward is played by Robert Pattinson (aka Cedric in HP 5) so, yeah.
I wanna see this on a big screen!!

Plenty of other things to be excited about. I was hoping to get my amazon delivery before the weekend but apparently I can look forward to that as well for a few more days... I ordered new glasses, finally, finally, last weekend, so they should be here next week as well. Two pairs for SEK3800 - you gotta love Specsavers!! Choire practice starts on Monday, the weekend starts in 4hours - bring - it - ON!!
