the curious incident of the missing salmon chop
Yo.
I'm under some pressure from certain parties to update so here I am during work hours, despite having an incredibly productive work-phase right now.
I think my January Blues has mostly blown over. Life does not feel quite as bleak (despite my bday coming ever closer). I will very soon be mid-twenties as opposed to early-twenties. Although, I guess I shouldn't complain too badly - in terms of the few discounts left to use I've still got another year - most notably with the Swedish national railway, SJ. Maybe I'll leave the country again once I loose the discount there, haha, haha.
I also had a great weekend after a few very boring weeks - J invited me to a party on Friday with her bfriend M. I was actually supposed to go to a classical concert with my parents and grandma that we had planned for weeks, but I was in such desperate need of social interaction with some peers that I forfeited. It was totally worth it though, I had a kick-ass time. I met and talked to at least a dozen people, most of which were extremely pleasant. I even got to speak English (exchange students) and German (the hosts' exchange student gfriend). I was pretty drunk when I spoke German and I think I might have gone on a bit too much about the vampire novels I've been reading lately, but I don't think I made a fool of myself too badly. I did maybe drink a tad too much though - I had a hell of a hangover the next day. I also had at least one memory lapse (as far as I know).
On Saturday morning I found an empty jar, previously with contents of smoked salmon chop, in the sink. It was in M's section of the sink, and I had absolutely no memory of consuming this (I did recall eating a risifrutti, but then that empty jar was next to my bed so maybe that jogged my memory). It's really not her style to just take any food of mine before asking and I debated with myself while I wallowed in bed whether it was her or me who dun it. The thing that convinced me to at least approach the subject? It had apparently been eaten with a tea-spoon. Now, I might have been drunk, I thought, but why on earth would I use a tea-spoon to eat salmon?? Highly illogical action - must be some crazy custom of M or her fella, I thought.
But no - that's the custom of very drunk people. I mean, I still can't remember eating it but she says she didn't and I do believe that... Hmpf. I still don't like it though!! Must remember to drink more water next time...
