bday season is upon us

Normally a quite devastating time in an office environment - cake, cake, cake!! at least three times a week for two months and I have like no resistance to sugar whatsoever.

However!! In this office/country people buy candy instead. You're thinking sugar is sugar?? Nope! Sugar in combination with gelatin (ie pig's skin and cow hooves) is a completely different matter - especially as I was kind of disgusted with it even before I became a vegetarian. And jelly stuff ie Haribo etc is the big thing here. So, no sweets for me! :)

Now, presumably this weird birth peak is because people get it on during summer when they go crazy with the sunlight and bared skin and warm air and throw caution to the wind. So.... does that mean that this statistical peak is not present in warmer countries? This should be the case, I guess. And the opposite time of year on the southern hemisphere. Hmm, I might have to ask an Aussie friend, this is kind of intriguing.
