Recipe for a perfect weekend
Seeing old friends - making new friends - stunning, new surroundings - beautiful weather - amazing food - timely public transport - dog company - just the right amount of alcohol - nicely crowded dance floors - good music.
I had an amazing weekend in Halmstad/Oskarström, visiting L and V in their charming abode(funnily enough, just like us she shares space with a kindergarden!!). I got to chill, I got to party, and was home early enough on Sunday to get all my laundry done and still have time to watch Gossip Girl and one of my movies. Perfect!!
I've been meaning to watch Bride and Prejudice, the Bollywood-version of Pride and Prejudice, for literally years. At first I was very skeptic, the timing and script seemed off and the singing seemed forced. I have to say though, it grew on me! Maybe one just needs to get used to the Bollywood style. I mean, it doesn't take place in Victorian England so no-one need sit by roaring fires or wear long gloves. Actually, it was placed in present-day as well so no one wore gloves out of respect for propriety or the cold.
Oh and speaking of the cold - it's freezing!! I've been shivering all morning after having to wait for the bus for 15 mins this morning, I'd just barely defrosted when it was time for lunch and the canteen was freezing as well, everyone was shivering (no really, they were! the table top kept shaking from people's knees rattling). The snow is still around as well and it was really beautiful this weekend but it's slippery and I'm constantly cold and I can't wait for Wednesday when this cold snap will break and we're supposed to get a balmy 8 degrees and rain. Aaaahhh bliss!
