sluggish

...is the feeling today, it's such a Monday it's depressing...

Would have had a perfect weekend if my computer hadn't crashed - again - Sunday evening. Until then, it was.

Saturday had some friends over for dinner (for the first time in London!), and then went out for some drinks at a Revolution in Soho. It closed disappointingly early at 11pm, at which time I'd had two mojitos (proper drinks, yey! no bloody pints of anything) and met some lovely people and generally had a nice time.
Once safely home I discovered a river dance special on tv, which I forced my flatmate to watch amidst discussion of the success of various dance crossovers until about 2am. I then spent Sunday (when it was raining) in bed watching movies with some pic'n'mix and well, then my comp crashed. That means I have to pack it down into its packaging, carry it in a massive IKEA bag to the nearest PC World, which are not really in that many places, and not close enough to work or home that I can get there after work in time, which means I can't go until this weekend... *grr*
On the other hand I have discovered that the DVD problem (blurring of the screen 8/10 times when you pop in a dvd) can be overcome if you can actually see the menu enough to start the movie - it usually fixes itself after the obnoxious menu-stall. At least I'm pretty sure this is a graphics card/interface problem and nothing whatsoever to do with the screen itself, which is good, because my last two comps (2nd hand) had LCD-problems and they are notoriously expensive to fix...

Enough. I don't feel entertaining today. I just want to go home!!! (1h and 39m to go).
