...and thank heavens, I was running very low on the dough this month (but then, I did buy a laptop so didn't come as a surprise...). My investment this month will be a pair of ER15s, apparently the rolls-royce in the world of ear plugs. Just tried to make an appointment at my closest retailer/audio-hearing whatever-specialist. She failed to find me an appointment in the next two weeks and then took my details and said she would call me back.
So far, nothing. Considering I'm gonna be spending about £200 on these people, I'm vaguely surprised. But then, the closest one is in Mayfair, so maybe he's the preferred specialist of a bunch of rich people, and as I gave her my post code she will know I'm not one of them... Still, I'm gonna give her the rest of today and then try someone else.

Am very excited, as I'm currently shunning all loud-noise environments. Also, as I was doing my research today I found out I've been doing the wrong thing by seeking out silence. Apparently, since tinnitus is really a brain problem and not completely physiological (even though it can be caused by loud noises, like with me), being in silence makes you focus on it and that is completely the wrong response. I should be using a low noise such as a white noise machine or a radio to make my brain 'filter out' the tinnitus tone. I was thinking of it as resting my ears, but it might actually have exaggerated my symptoms. Am now trying to get hold of a white noise machine at a hopefully not ridicilous price, so we'll see.

Other than that, my arm is really painful after the flu shot I had this week. It's kind of swelled up in a perfect circle almost about a decimeter across, and is aching and now starting to itch... If it doesn't work this year either I'm giving it up, it's not worth it! (considered posting a picture I took, am as of yet undecided...).
