I'm apparently not completely buggered, yey!

Wow, I *can* listen to music while doing work. Am up writing on the no-longer incredibly dreaded report, which I'm actually starting to really like. Had a very productive meeting with my supervisor today, and what I thought was just 'fiddling around' turns out to be a data collection instrument - at least in the social sciences. Even though I have huge amounts of work left to do, I feel like an enormous weight's been lifted off my shoulders, as I will not only fail but probably get a reasonable mark. Hopefully! Left my building with a huge smile and a spring in my step, which no amount of annoying incidents could curb. Desperately wanted to go shopping for clothes as well, especially as I recently discovered those 400 quid I thought were gonna disappear actually aren't, and so am much less skint all of a sudden. Did restrict myself; *after* the report has been turned in I might allow myself a restricted spree (I do have my bday coming up, after all!).

And God, I love this record, Ibiza: History of Chillout (thanks sis!). I am getting very sleepy though, but then this week has been very stressful. What's made it bearable is the occasional break watching episodes of Scrubs; we've gone through both seasons in little over a week, and third is out on Monday! I guess since my fellow sci-fi and (specifically stargate) freak housemate is sick and at home with the mumps, this is more appropriate entertainment as the rest of the house actually enjoys it (as opposed to sighs loudly in brings out a book)...
Discovery of the day: making charts with arrows and circles and what-nots are incredibly useful for making reasonings floating around in your head easier to put into words. Really. I realize that's a very geeky statement, but I've accepted geekdom as a fact of life long ago...
(irrational thought of the day: one of the main reasons I'm considering going back to my old hair-colour is that I feel like this one clashes somewhat with this part of my persona...)
